Le 1er Festival de Film "La Ville et l'Environnement" / The Very 1st Film Festival "Environment and the City"
Les 29, 30 et 31 mai
Cinéma du Parc et le 5e Sommet citoyen collaborent à la présentation du premier festival de film de Montréal traitant de « La Ville et l’environnement ». (29-31 mai) Ce festival unique, qui précède le Sommet, présente plusieurs films exceptionnels sur la vie urbaine, et tente d’expliquer pourquoi nous, êtres humains, n’entretenons pas une relation équilibrée avec la nature. Nous sommes les importateurs nets de tout ce qu’il y a de mieux dans notre environnement, et en retour, nous exportons des déchets toxiques, de l’air et de l’eau pollués, et plus encore. Ces films démontrent comment ce déséquilibre peut être renversé. Il y aura dans le cadre du festival une exposition d’éléments visuels pertinents, tels que des photos et des tableaux.
Le Sommet, ouvert à tous et à toutes, a lieu du 5 au 7 juin à Montréal.
Le thème du Sommet est « La ville que nous voulons ».

Cinema du Parc and the 5th Citizen Summit have collaborated together to present the First Montreal Film Festival dealing with 'Environment and the City'. (May 29-31) This unique film festival will feature as a pre-summit activity a number of exceptional films which present urban life and how we humans do not have a balanced relationship with Nature. We are the net importers of all that is good in our environment and in return we export toxic waste, polluted air and water, and much more. The stories of how this imbalance can be changed will be the stories of these films. Accompanying the festival will be an exhibition of relevant visuals, both photos and paintings.
The Summit, open to all citizens, takes place June 5-7, in Montreal. The
theme of the summit is "The City We Want".
